Sea Glass logo

Sea glass originates from bottles and jars that have been thrown into the water as litter and have been broken up by the waves and rocks. The glass is tumbled and eroded by the action of wave, water and sand, creating small pieces of smooth, frosted glass. Sea glass is generally found on beaches of oceans or large lakes. Each piece is individual and the colours can be stunning – the most commonly seen colours are white, green, brown and blue. Like gathering shells or stones, collecting sea glass is a hobby among beachgoers all over the world and many people enjoy its colour, its shape and its individuality. See below for images from our collection.
